Tom Krause got his first taste of real estate at 16 when he and his brothers urged his father to buy a house that they could fix up, and the rest is history.
He later continued to pursue real estate out of a home office, which was a 34-foot travel trailer. He focused mainly on commercial real estate but quickly found that new Traverse City friends and acquaintances approached him to help them find or sell their homes, and the KRS residential division was born.
A number of high profile commercial projects – including the new TBA Credit Union building on West Grandview Parkway and the former Lear Manufacturing building on South Airport Road – have catapulted Krause’s name into the top ten commercial real estate brokerages in the area.
In 2016, KRS merged with Cherry Wings Realty, and the KRS team grew from five to a team of 13; and he isn’t stopping there! Tom has his sights set on a development division to Team KRS, so look for that coming in the future as well as two more locations!
You can often find Tom Krause out and about in our community visiting the newest local coffee shop or restaurant and meeting the owners, volunteering his time to the Salvation Army and the Rotary, or giving generous donations to the Father Fred Foundation and Habitat for Humanity. The TCAPS schools often contact Tom for donations to this club or that sports team, and Tom always comes through for the local kids.
Through his constant community outreach and involvement, he quickly became popular among the locals, and his plans within the community are not slowing down one bit! KRS recently merged with Cherry Wings Realty and adopted their veterans program and now work directly with the U.S. Coast Guard to help veterans with their housing needs.
Leadership And Innovation
In real estate, the broker plays a critical role and is generally the driving force in leadership. Tom Krause successfully demonstrates entrepreneurial creativity, always searching for new opportunities and pursues them.
His willingness to take risks and to venture into new areas have inspired the KRS team, as well as our clients, to achieve our goals and to focus on the outcome. Krause’s innovation is what distinguishes his company and agents to being leaders than followers. He leads by example and consciously. The leadership at Krause Realty Solutions is positive, constructive, and purposeful.
In our industry, innovation plays a critical role in all aspects of real estate dealings. We change as the industry changes and we adjust to your needs as a client. By allowing ourselves to be flexible with your needs, we have engaged in the use of technology such as Dot-loop. Dot-loop allows us to review documents online and to sign electronically.
We strive to keep an online presence through the website, social media, Zillow, Trulia, digital business cards, informational sign riders, and the use of our smartphones and iPads.
The informational sign riders allow you to send a text and you are immediately provided information on your phone. This has eliminated the use of printing hundreds of flyers for each of our listings.
